When all indoor cinemas are closed and COVID restrictions are tightly in-place, how do audiences watch movies? Drive In Cinemas! Our team worked closely with the Ku-ring-gai Council to develop and deliver a pop-up Drive In Cinema at the St Ives Showgrounds. At operationally delicate event expertly delivered by our team, resulting in 20 sold out events across 4 weeks and receiving national media attention.
An agile strategy was adopted by the team in order to produce this event. With Government requirements changing daily we delivered numerous operational documentation to meet compliance and strict onsite management to ensure a safe event.
Our marketing team worked to secure national media attention, including multiple radio, print, digital, and nightly news coverage to reach a large audience and result in significant ticket sales from a COVID-weary audience.
